VpCI® Emitting Systems for Electricals & Electronics

VpCI® emitting systems are easy to install. They come in many shapes and sizes—cups, foams, and pouches. You can transform any enclosed space into a protected environment by placing them inside. Use them to protect everything from electronics packages to non-ventilated electrical control cabinets!

How It Works

VpCI® emitting systems work by releasing Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibitors (Cortec’s proprietary VCI technology) into an enclosed space. The vapor is attracted to metal surfaces and forms a non-conductive molecular layer on them. This helps reduce corrosion and does not interfere with electrical, optical, or mechanical surface properties.

Increase Reliability and Reduce Costs

By protecting sensitive equipment against corrosion, you can extend its useful service life and reduce the cost of expensive repairs.

Features and Benefits of VpCI® Emitting Systems

  • Easy installation or packaging
  • Little to no surface prep

Types of Emitting Systems

Different shapes and sizes of VpCI® emitting materials allow you to mix and match according to your specific needs.

Emitter Cups: These are self-adhesive cups that emit Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibitors through a breathable Tyvek® membrane.* They are easy to stick inside an electrical cabinet or a package of electronic components.

Emitter Foams/Non-Wovens: These are flexible foam or non-woven devices that emit Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibitors. They are available in a variety of sizes, some with adhesive backing for easy application.

Emitter Pouches: These are breathable pouches that release Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibitors and come in a variety of sizes for protection of up to 35.3 ft³ (1 m³) at the largest.
